The history of the development of the hanging centrifuge

1. Overview
The overhanging centrifuge (hereinafter referred to as the overhang centrifuge) was developed in 1852. At that time, it was also a batch centrifuge for manual discharge. In 1961, Germany reported on a time-relay program-controlled overhang centrifuge manufactured by VEB Sanger Hausen for the separation of sugar paste. At present, most of the overhang centrifuges are mechanically discharged and fully automated.

2. Structure and principle
The spindle of the top-hanging centrifuge is suspended vertically on the frame, the upper end of the spindle is installed in the bearing in the bearing sleeve, and the drum is installed at the lower end of the spindle, so the support point of the spindle is much higher than the center of gravity of the rotary parts, and this support structure makes the centrifuge rotary parts have the characteristics of automatic alignment. When the charging is uneven, the spindle and drum can automatically adjust and absorb vibration.
The transmission mode of this machine is direct transmission, and the vertical motor located at the top of the spindle on the frame is directly connected to the spindle through a centrifugal friction clutch.
The drum installed at the lower end of the spindle is composed of the bottom of the drum, the drum wall with holes and the liquid stopping plate, the inner wall of the drum is lined with a filter cloth or filter screen, and the gap between the ribs at the bottom of the drum is the discharge hole.
The top of the centrifuge shell has an organic cover, a filtrate discharge tube at the bottom, a filtrate sampling port and a viewing mirror for observing the filtrate on the outside, a rinse tube for cleaning the bowl on the inside, and a cleaning pipe extending into the bowl on the upper part.
The upper frame of the spindle is equipped with a brake, and the brake belt tightens the brake wheel on the spindle to make the centrifuge stop quickly, and there is an interlock device in the brake, and the motor circuit is automatically cut off when it is in the braking position.
The material is added to the drum from the upper cover of the housing or from a special feeding port. Before feeding, start the drum and run at low speed (180-300 rpm), and then add the rotor to full speed after the feeding is completed. After washing and drying, the filter slag can be stopped to be removed.
