The principle of operation of the horizontal piston pusher centrifuge

The slurry is fed into a conical distributor mounted on the push plate via a feed pipe. Under the effect of centrifugal force, the slurry passes through the gap between the push plate and the distributor and is flung onto the screen. Here, the liquid passes through the screen mesh and small holes in the drum, being thrown out of the drum and flowing into the mother liquor collector. Meanwhile, the solid phase forms a filter cake layer on the screen. Due to the continuous reciprocating motion of the push plate, the filter cake layer is continuously pushed forward along the axial direction of the drum until it is discharged from the front casing's discharge port. The reciprocating motion of the push plate is controlled by a hydraulic automatic mechanism. A vane pump draws oil from the oil tank through a filter into the oil pump, delivering it at 2.5-3.0 MPa pressure to both sides of the compound cylinder. When one side receives oil, the other side's unloaded oil returns to the oil tank through the cavity inside the pulley. The reciprocating motion of the push plate is controlled by the directional change of the piston driven by pressurized oil, which impacts the valve rod. Since
